• Mobile HDD? Is it as good as a normal HDD.

Hello, I just received a new HDD I ordered yesterday, but the problem I quickly noticed was that it's a mobile HDD. Name of HDD: Seagate Momentus XT 750GB Hybrid. My concern is: Will it perform as good as a 3.5" normal HDD?
Depends on the price range, what did you pay for it? I checked some websites for your particular drive and the price including delivery will be about €120,-. You can buy a 3TB / 7200rpm / 3.5" HDD for that, with a bit of increased performance. Storage is the biggest concern when it comes to 2.5" vs 3.5".
I'm fine with the storage. I paid about 100€ for it. I actually bought it because it a hybrid (small ssd built in).
Thing with External is bloatware normally, not always though, thats for the more backup oriented HDDs. compare them yourself there's no inherent difference between an external and internal besides the casing and such. You can even get a mobile casing for an internal if you wanted
