After a power outage today, my sound card won't show up in the list of devices even after install drivers, rollbacks, and numerous restarts.
I got a ASUS P5BW-LA with Integrated Realtek ALC885 Audio
Check if it got disabled in the BIOS somehow. Though, the power outage could have had voltage spikes on the leading and tailing edge of it that could have fried the sound chip.
