My build:
CPU: i7 2600k (Model: BX80623I72600K)
Mobo: ASUS MAXIMUS IV EXTREME P67 (REV 3.0)
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (Model: F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL)
GPU: EVGA GTX 570 (Model: 012-P3-1572-AR)
PC stopped booting recently. POST code 55, "Memory not installed". I'm thinking that the motherboard is fucked, but it might be the ram. The weird thing is that there is no output to my monitors. I don't get a boot logo or anything, just blank screens.
I'm not at home currently, so I can't try anything. I'm gonna look around for some old ram later and see if that does anything. Hopefully that fixes things. Otherwise it's probably the motherboard.
Anyone else have a similar problem or have a clue on whats happening?
Okay, so it looks like it's the motherboard. I tried putting the ram in the secondary slots, and now it's giving me the post code AE (Legacy Boot event) to A0 (IDE initialization is started). Still no output to the screens. Not sure what to do now.
