• Garry's Mod Keeps Crashing!

Hey all, I know this a popular problem but I haven't been able to find a solution so I thought I'd come here and ask all of you. Every time, I join a server on Garry's Mod, my game instantly crashes stating that Half Life 2 has stopped working. I am not sure why this is happening and it seems to have started happening out of the blue. I tried turning off my anti virus protection, I tried re-installing, and I tried shutting down programs (in case there was a graphics problem, silly I know but I was desperate). Does anyone have any reasonable solutions I can try? When I contacted Steam Support they had me add two specific commands into my computer but that had no effect on the problem. Thanks!
I believe that happens for everybody. get into the 13 beta, wait, write an angry letter, write a story about zombies, whatever. multiplayer just doesn't work right now. AYDEET: try putting vgui_allowhtml 0 in developer console. I heard it might do something.

Have you updated your drivers?
I believe so. I'm unsure if I've updated my BIOS. How can I check that?
BIOS won't help at this point. Have you opened your computer and seen if any hardware is loose?
I'll check but I doubt it. If this was the problem, wouldn't it effect other games. I play a lot of other games that are both graphically demanding and CPU usage demanding.
Garry's mod is sort of "special" in a way, lua scripting effects certain key locations in your hardware.
So if anything it should be my graphics card?
Don't listen to his shitty advice, he's a troll.
There's nothing wrong with your GMod. GMod broke last week, for everyone of us. Entering vgui_allowhtml 0 into your dev console will fix it. You have to enter it every time you fire up GMod though (could add it to launch options).
