Just changed my contract to a sim only contract and didn't realise my phone only takes orange sim cards. Anyone know where or how I could get the 16 digit NCK code?
It's unique on a per phone basis I think... IMEI and stuff needs to be known for one to be generated.

It's how a cell provider identifies your phone in the network. You have to call your provider for the unlock code.
You might be able to flash your phone, you'd have to change the firmware to a non orange branded one.

Even if he did it'd still be locked...
Just pay a few dollars and have someone generate an unlock code for you, based on your IMEI
