So I'm going to be flying alone from Portland, Oregon to Phoenix, Arizona in three weeks. I'm 16, flying alone, and I have a few questions. I've never been on a jet before and I've never gone through airport security and such.
1. Are cell phones/iPods allowed on the jet?
Just making sure, it'd be pretty boring to be on a plane for 3 hours with nothing to do.
2. Is everyone searched or are just random people searched?
3. About how much would the ticket cost?
4. Anything else I should know about as a first-time flyer?
1. yes
2. depends on the airline
3. several hundred dollars
4. make sure anything you're bringing doesn't have any meat in it
PREPARE TO BE MOLESTED :q:
You may have a cellphone, but you just need to make sure it's off
Also, no one is really searched that often, unless you look suspicious.

If I ever have to be strip searched I'm totally going to get a boner before hand and when I start getting touched ask "What, no flowers first?" ect. to make the TSA dude feel as uncomfortable as possible
Just so you know half of all flights crash because they are going too fast, so it's pretty safe don't worry. But one thing to be cautious about is that many planes, I guess because of the amount of people on them, have this weird infection. You get this weird feeling in your ear, you usually feel the symptoms pretty soon, especially around landing time it starts to kick in, and it can feel painful. If you get that, you should see a doctor ASAP because it can make you deaf.
