I'd definitely leave that guy out of my Christmas cards.
Judging another person's tattoos by your own standard of opinion seems like an awfully shallow thing to do. The only circumstance I could understand a tattoo being terrible is if the artwork was poorly done or the tattoo sends some sort of message that is derogatory or bigoted in some way. Other than that I would think it isn't any of your business judging what another person has chosen to place on their body for what is presumably the rest of their natural life.
All tattoos are stupid unless it's on someone's amputated limb.

I know an idiot who has a tattoo of Humpty Dumpty getting stoned on pot on his leg.
I have some pretty bad tattoos. 3 of them are covered.
Though my fittbög (translates to cuntfag) tattoo was fairly popular. People started to talk to me at the pub because they've heard of it
