Hi, I Currently have my monitor connected through VGA to my computer (I leave the DVI for my PS3).
I was wondering if there is a limit to the resolutions and refresh rates available through VGA because my monitor is reported as having max settings at 1920x1080@75hz, but when I try that it bugs out saying 'Out of Range.' When I have my PS3 running it is seen as a 1080i display and is used that way flawlessly.
tl;dr
is the limit for VGA 1680x1050@60hz?
The max VGA resolution is 800x600@75hz
A D-sub cable however, has no hard limit on the maximum resolution or refresh rate, It depends on the quality of the cable
I think I'm going to try to use DVI on my monitor to see if I can get 1920x1080@75.
If your curious, my monitor uses this:

What I mean is, Does the connector have any particular limit to resolution and/or refresh rate.

As simple as anyone can say:
N O
Then I believe my monitor itself is limiting the VGA signal.
Most monitors with both VGA and DVI, have bad quality when using VGA.
