Ok so im thinking about a new pc setup heres the parts: Graphics Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB Superclocked Video Card https://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-02gp43753kr CPU: AMD Athlon X4 860K 3.7GHz Quad-Core Processor https://pcpartpicker.com/part/amd-cpu-ad860kxbjabox Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard https://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-gaf2a88xmd3h RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory https://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-memory-cml8gx3m2a1600c9 Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive https://pcpartpicker.com/part/western-digital-internal-hard-drive-wd1002faex Case: NZXT Source 210 Elite ATX Mid Tower Case https://pcpartpicker.com/part/nzxt-case-s210e001 Power Supply: Enermax REVOLUTION X't 430W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply https://pcpartpicker.com/part/enermax-power-supply-erx430awt Im wondering if this setup would be good enough to play games like DCS World, Reign Of Kings, H1Z1, ArmA III etc. without frame stuttering also im considering the Raedon R9 290 over the 750 Ti
get the R9 290 instead and upgrade the power supply accordingly careful to make sure the case you buy supports the particular brand/model that you purchase; some manufacturers make video cards longer than others and end up not fitting in certain cases [editline]27th July 2015[/editline] the games you listed are not graphically demanding, but you don't want to be obsolete in a year when no matter what buying 'new' hardware isn't an option in your budget
Its an ok budget build. The CPU is kinda slow. ARMA 3 and H1Z1 reccomend an i5-4### at least. But this should work too, if you are not expecting too much. Going from a 750Ti to an R9 290 is a massive step (130$ to 400$ GPU) And the 290 is really powerfull compared to that slow CPU. If you have that 300$ extra to spare I would reccomend going for a card in between the 750TI and the r9 290 and upgrading your CPU with the money left over. Something like a Intel Core i5-4460 together with the ASRock Fatal1ty B85 Killer motherboard will net you a good base CPU wise. And your GPU can be an Nvidia 960GTX or AMD R9 380 then. That PSU isnt too great either. Consider upgrading to something off this list: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html The seasonic S12 (II, G or EVO) series are usually good and cheap
what psu do you think is best for this build?
http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/seasonic-power-supply-m12ii620bronze This is a decent PSU, it should provide some headroom for if you plan on upgrading in the future too
