Alright well I had a build I was going to get for christmas but then family and money issues happened so now I'm not getting a new computer for christmas. Though in january I am getting a job at the local kroger as a bag boy ( gotta start somewhere ) and if I work 20 hours a week on min wage thats $150 a week, and I just went ahead and took $50 off that because I have no idea how much taxes will be. So I will get around $400 a month and thats 3 months and 2 weeks of work to get myself a brand new computer. That's $1400 and that is my budget for my PC and that includes a monitor, This is the build I have so far and I'm just curious if there is anything I should change or consider changing.
The only things I do NOT want changed are the case, and CPU cooler. Also if anyone decides to change the monitor it needs to have 1 DVI-D port for my computer and 1 HDMI port for my xbox and speakers would be preferred so I don't have to go without sound while using my xbox.

Don't make this thread if you still need to work 3 months for it.

Whats wrong with planning 3 months ahead? I just want to know exactly what to buy in 3 months and not have to change anything.
You of all people would know that prices change and new products can get released even if they aren't announced.
Price changes, next gen GPU's coming out

You guys are right, I derped. Well at least tell me what you think of the build so I can get an idea whether or not I'm getting it right.
reap feel free to change the PSU if you want.
Am I the only one that noticed a lack of motherboard

I noticed that myself when I was on newegg browsing my shopping cart.
Here's the problem with planning 3 months ahead. Three months from now it will be March. March is the last month of Q1 2012. Ivy Bridge launches in Q1 2012, therefore it's almost guaranteed that the 2500K will be replaced by the 3570K by the time you get the money to build.
[editline]thedate[/editline]
By the way $370 is a lot of money for a GPU that's usually tied or even slightly slower than a $260 unlocked HD 6950.

Thanks garry for your input, also how much do you think the 3570k will be when it comes out?

According to the leaked prices the 3750K will be $224 compared to the current $216 price of the 2500K.
Very nice, I will definitely wait 3 months before getting the parts together. Also any new nvidia GPU's coming out or just ATI?

The word on the street is that Nvidia will have their new GPUs in Q2 2012, and AMD will launch theirs in Q1 2012. It's possible that Nvidia may launch then as well, but reports make it sound unlikely.

Anandtech is saying that the HD 7970 will launch on January 9th. I'm sceptical about that but it could possibly happen. Keep in mind they also say it will launch for $550, which is a fair amount more than a GTX 570 and more than double the cost of an unlocked HD 6950.
Alright, well I guess I'll re make this thread in 3 months.
