Because it started to become a standard to do such things like Netflix, Plex or HD Youtube videos. Its only right to complain in my opinion and besides that there are so many things digital and on the internet that it can actually impact business or economy.

but you could.. you know.. not enable hd? it's watchable, and if you can't do nothing about it then you'll have to adapt

I don't think you understand the issue with this, the village in question is becoming disconnected from the internet and is perhaps not able to pull off regular surfing like Facebook. They cannot even watch 480p without long buffer times, they get shit internet and their ISP needs to fix it, same as what happens in the US.

Obviously and they actually some residents get lower then that. Chrome has a build in emulator, try that out.
A running problem with Internet speeds in the UK is that new estates and houses are fitted with standard crappy cables to reduce costs. This therefore costs more to replace in the future and some estates like mine aren't even economical to replace due to the lower amount of houses here.
All I can do is wait for closer cabinets or centres to be made for better speeds. Currently I get around 2 MB/s but my friends nearby can get up to 10 MB/s.
It's a fine speed for most things but with the level of speeds nearby it's unacceptable. This estate was only made 2 or 3 years ago and it's only increased by 5 mbps over that time. 4G is faster than my Internet.
I'm with BT Infinity and Virgin Media (which is the best in the UK afaik) is not available here. It took them two years to reply to me :v:
I hope something happens about Internet speeds here. I would move out of that fucking village any day.
