Most of these are pretty awful and the writer of this article probably only added them for the "lulz."

to be fair, from a thematic point of view these aren't much worse than most of of the existing legendary skins which are dire. like, why does a buddhist robot get an egyptian god reskin and why the fuk does immortan joe from mad max get to look like a native hawaiian?

Most of them look good, it's just that they don't really fit the character theme, but that's already happening in the live game anyway.
Honestly I'd prefer this in Overwatch most of all.

I'd use Greaser Junkrat all day every day.
I would definitely use a Skeletor skin for Reaper.
Some of these are alright, but the main thing i don't like is it how so many of them (and the ones in the game) have basically nothing to do with the characters, their backgrounds or personalities at all.
The perfect opportunity to include a Harambe Winston skin.
How can this writer not realise the genius that is a Harambe Winston skin and a Zookeeper Widowmaker skin?

A lot of them already don't.
The scarecrow Junkrat skins, the pirate Torb, racer Tracer (she's supposed to be an ex-pilot and we have no pilot skins), the list goes on

I want a cowboy skin for roadhog so his hook becomes a lasso.
Cardboard Bastion and his repair animation is a human hand coming out to apply duct tape.
ZOE Jehuty for Pharah since she already has Anubis
they gave a lot of characters skins which reflected their cultural heritage (for some reason)
They are p. hit and miss in my opinion
