Mine will always be Mario Kart 64. No other Mario Kart can beat it, IMO.
i don't see how mario kart 64 is better than some of the more recent ones, theres not much to the game and i always preferred diddy kong racing. my favourites are probably mario kart DS/wii 'cause of the wi-fi and the download play multiplayer on DS was awesome. mario kart 7 is up there aswell, and mario kart 8 is looking pretty awesome
Mario Kart 7 has the best Retro maps.
The one on DS

Double dash was pretty good as well
I'd say DS and 7 are my absolute favorites. I'll always have a place in my heart for Double Dash as well, despite it not aging too well.

...as far as actual Mario Kart goes, I'd have to pick Super Circuit on the GBA.
MKDD for the Gamecube, the gimmick behind that game hasn't been done before in any other racing games iirc, and multiplayer was way fun for it.
I'd love to see the two-people-to-a-cart thing return for the next mario kart, even if it's just a seperate game mode entirely. Being able to tag-team with someone from your friends list over the internet would work great with the voice/video chat the WiiU's controller can support, and taking on 14 other drivers (7 carts) in a race would be hella fun
Mario Kart 7.
Shy Guy is in the roster, and it hosts some of my favorite Mario Kart courses, both new and retro. The controls are superb and the music is amazing.

I like 7 the most as a game
but I don't think any of them can replace 64 in my heart, it was one of the first games I ever got
Mario Kart 64 is my favorite. It reminds me of the days when i was younger and i use to play it alot with my sister. Now we play Mario Kart Wii together.
supra mayro kratt is the best one i've played
[sp]not even lying, as i've never played any actual mario cart game[/sp]
7.
Only because they brought back the best map in the series, the original rainbow road.
Double Dash.

This game is a serious case of nostalgia goggles. I loved it as a kid, but I recently got to play it again and it was horrible.
Controls are about unusable, and all the tracks are like 5 seconds long.
Mario Kart 64 holds up pretty well though actually.

I think it has the best track roster as a whole, personally.
Only thing I don't like is SNES Rainbow Road. I've got no love for that track.
DS, playing it with my friends was one of the most fun i've ever had playing a video game, especially that time where i played it with 6 other friends.
Mario Kart DS had the best tracks and tightest gameplay.

also this song
mario kart gp :-)
just kidding I think DS and DD are the best. DD was refreshingly different, it handles like a totally different game and I'm thankful for that.
7 is great i just miss block fort :(
I wish the Gamecube cube planet was in Mario Kart Wii.
double dash, still playing it regularly with my three best friends.

good thing it's included in 7 then
Double Dash
DS has the best cart system IMO
it also has moo moo farm as one of the retro maps.

they shat on the desert level, you can't like go into the train tracks area anymore or anything fun

I liked Mario Kart 64 more then the others due to nostalgic reasons.
Plus, it was more simple. I've put way, WAAAAY more hours onto MK64 then any other MK.
It being the most technical one, I still play it on an emulator and it plays pretty well, having that 'trip down memory lane' feel to it. Since it's been a while since I've played it, tears welled up in my eyes after not playing it for 6 years.
Mario Kart Wii tbh
I haven't had much of a chance to play most of the mario kart games but I still play the shit outta mario kart wii.
Double Dash felt better to play, Wii/DS was fun to play, and Mario Kart 64 has some of the best levels in the whole series.
How I sum it up.
I haven't played every single one, so I can't fully judge, but I've played every one up till the DS one, and that one is definitely my favorite.
