I've tried numerous times to use a gif file for my avatar, but whenever I try to save it I always get an "invalid file" or "no animated pictures" etc.
I've seen plenty of people with animated avatars, so there must be some way to apply it.
Does anyone know how?

As a blue member you can use apng for animated avatars. But you're still restricted to 64x64.
