So I need to update a GFX card but I have no idea what I'm looking at, it's all a jumble of numbers and letters..
My budget is about £100-£120
At the moment Device manager tells me I have a Redeon HD 6700 Series? It does the job but it can't handle GTA V at 1080p smoothly.
Anyone able to point me in the right direction?
Thanks x
Please post your full specs including your PSU make and wattage.
Use Speccy if you dont know your specs.

Not sure on the PSU, but I can look after work
On the side of the PSU is: RS-460-PCAP-A3
The FX-6100 isnt too powerfull. But should be ok-ish.
Here you can see the performance of GTA-V on some current cards.

Your budget is too small to run it at 1080P on ultra.
But an AMD R9-270X should be able to run it on high fairly well. And is only slightly above your budget.

Thank you so much :)

Pleas dont forget to post your PSU. For all we know it might blow up if you attach the card to it.
This one?
I think so, they just don't look the same :/
Yeah, you need 2, 6 pin connectors for most high powered cards. (Including that one).
You have 3 options:
1: Get the cheaper R9-270 instead of the X version, and be content with running on medium.
2: Get a molex to 6 pin connector for your PSU. This usually works fine on a good PSU, But isn’t recommended. And there is a small chance that it might cause harm to it.
Cooler master makes good and OK-ish PSU’s. I don’t know that particular Cooler master PSU. So I couldn’t tell you if its any good.
3:Get a Better PSU. 40 pounds should do the trick.
Ok sweet, thank you, I'll order a new PSU today, can you recommend one at all?
I'm slowly going to be upgrading the PC. Starting with the PSU would be a good idea I guess.
This is a really good one:

Bit cheaper, but also very good.

I've used Corsair and Antec PSUs with never a problem. Don't skimp on the PSU in order to spend more on another component. If anything, always put getting a quality PSU first. Also, try and leave a bit of room for upgrades if you can. Let's say your choice of GPU requires a 500W PSU. If you buy a 500W PSU but then a couple of years from now want to add a better GPU you are back where you started having to buy a new PSU again.

Not really, power requirements for GPU's etc are going down due to laptop tech and smaller die sizes requiring less power.
And watch out a bit with Corsair. Its all ok, but not everything is good.
