It means your nvidia display drivers crashed for a second and then rebooted.
well sometimes it crashes and then blue screens.
then I get Artifacts when I try playing my games.

Your GPU driver crashed. Had you been using XP or below you would have seen a BSOD.

Your graphics card is probably overheating.
Could you take the temperatures of it idle and under load? You can see the temperature by using RivaTuner or Speccy.
I did. It was over 250 degrees I think.

If you're not, holy crap. 121 degrees Celcius is practically roasting the poor thing. Make sure that the card's fan is working and it's not clogged with dust.

There is no fan. It didnt come with the Card.
I have an Nvidia GeForce 8400 gs.
Had it for two years now.
