• Laptop will not use Nvidia Graphics card. Won't launch Nvidia Control Panel either.

I recently purchased an Asus laptop. An N56JR with an i7, GTX 760 and TB HDD About 2 weeks ago, the Nvidia control panel wouldn't launch, however, the computer still recognized and used the GTX 760m without a problem. Today, it stopped recognizing it as the main graphics card and I have no way of making applications choose it as the main graphics card. I tried everything. Rolling back drivers, updating drivers, deleting them, everything. Nothing works. I can't get the Control Panel to launch which is a huge problem. I am running 8.1 Yesterday it was running perfectly, but I think this morning it installed an update and messed the whole system. Any suggestions?
When you say you updated the drivers, you used the laptop drivers right? The drivers from the Nvidia website won't let you swap cards and will cause issues, you must use the drivers from the ASUS website
Yes, I used laptop drivers
I would suggest getting http://www.geforce.com/geforce-experience#source=gss
Solved. Fixed it by updating the Bios
