A demo? That's not something we see often now-a-days
Did they cancel Minecraft to make this?
they handed it off to MS, so pretty much
proving minecraft WAS a one hit wonder
why did they develop this.
proving minecraft WAS a one hit wonder
Scrolls wasn't meant to be. Minecraft wasn't supposed to be either.
why did they develop this.
Because they can. It's really that simple.
microtransactions in a paid game
A demo? That's not something we see often now-a-days
Yes it is. It's just that CoD and GTA don't so you haven't noticed. There's been a surge in developers releasing demos, it seems. [editline]11th December 2014[/editline]
microtransactions in a paid game
Implying CSGO doesn't do it. Or that TF2 didn't used to do it.
I love card-game based things though and this doesn't look like the worst definitely worth a try probably
Implying CSGO doesn't do it. Or that TF2 didn't used to do it.
You mean for skins that don't do anything?
-snip-
Elder scrolls got some tough competition.
You mean for skins that don't do anything?
Yes because they're still microtransactions.
This looks stupid. I'm never buying another Bethesda game again!
I remember I played the beta of this game, it was pretty good, don't know why people are giving it shit, could someone explain?
I can't believe garry canceled Rust for this
why did they develop this.
I feel really bad for Mojang. They made a basic little survival game that exploded in what's most likely the hugest way ever for any video game. Like holy shit how popular is minecraft? But that wasn't really supposed to be their flagship product that they were going to make forever, so now when they actually want to break away and do something else with their creative resources it's going to always be viewed under the lens of "From Minecraft Developer Mojang." It's no wonder Notch left, and the property was sold off- there was no other way of leaving that franchise.

They are (or at least Notch is) swimming in an ocean of money, enough to fund whatever game they want to make. Or retire, as in Notch's case.

this is actually pretty good, I played in beta but it had some kind of problem with avast where you couldn't connect at all if you had it on, I wonder if thats fixed?
microsoft owns this game too fyi, they bought mojang
