Looks about alright. My main concern is the PSU. Is Diablotek a good brand?
diablo is an incredibly shit brand [editline]29th December 2010[/editline] http://www.hardocp.com/article/2010/12/17/diablotek_phd650_650w_power_supply_review/9
With the PHD650, Diablotek seemingly tried to polish a turd with a turd and as such we got the expected outcome, a pile of crap. Given the horrible build quality of the unit and poor component selection of the unit that is hardly a startling result. With a current price of ~$49.99, users would be better off taking their cash and setting it on fire rather than buying this unit. There is quite literally no price point or situation where the Diablotek PHD650 should be a consideration for users as it failed almost every test possible today. Retailers and e-tailers should be ashamed to be selling such a product.
[editline]29th December 2010[/editline] and why are you getting 2 320GB drives? you can get a single 1TB F3 for cheaper
Oh God stay away from Diablotek. For cheap go with Antec. Under load, a 1gb 460 based system is going to pull probably around 280W. So if it were me I'd be comfortable with a power supply putting out 30A or more on the 12v output with a total power of at least 430W or more.
He might be doing RAID, I suppose.

It has a history of bad caps which it is some what recovering from now. But its newer models are fine so I would not worry about it.
Get this power supply:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371015 Hell or even this:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817171046
My suggestion. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151094&cm_re=Seasonic_s12ii-_-17-151-094-_-Product The SeaSonic S12II 520.

And yeah, RAID-0 with 2 drives.
Really, feel free to skimp out on any other part. Always go the extra mile on the PSU, because that's the only part that can fry everything else in the computer.
Yeah, that's true. I changed the PSU to a Thermaltake TR2 430w PSU for $44. Approve? I may just have to wait a tiny bit longer to shell out like another $20 for a solid PSU with a little more power for future upgrade-ability, but I think this Thermaltake is good. Edit: Would this be better than the Thermaltake? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371023 [editline]29th December 2010[/editline] I'm liking this PSU, for the price it seems good. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817339021 [editline]29th December 2010[/editline] I'll probably end up getting the Antec. There's so many to choose from =(
You could get this combo deal http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.567613 for less, it lacks support for 1600 RAM, and has only one PCI-E slot. You could really save on the Mobo and CPU - there are lots of combos out there for the 635 which is super slightly worse. [editline]29th December 2010[/editline] And the case, too. There are lots of other cases with a CASE + PSU combo, the HAF doesn't have one because it's a desired case, though, I think. I don't get why, it's pretty ugly.

He wants a 460 in the future, so I don't think 430/450 watts is enough.

I won't be able to purchase this until around January 3rd, but I'll be looking out for better combos! Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
do you really need 4 ram slots and 2 pci-e slots? you could save $20 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138180&cm_re=am3_motherboard-_-13-138-180-_-Product
