More maps would be great.
Maybe a community weapon pack too?
I hope community weapons are next.
ninjas
I would prefer community hats thank you

We just got a shit ton of those. More maps and weapons would be nice.
Who needs new maps when you have 24\7 2fort.
I want a really complex payload race. One where your cart is on the ground, and their suddenly emerges from a tunnel up high.
Now might also be the time to see the comeback of Tc_ as a gamemode. Most people seemed turned off by the length of it, but Mann vs Machine can last a long time so maybe habits have changed again?
Honestly i'd prefer weapons [sp]with custom stats[/sp]. But maps are nice too. We don't need more hats.

there was more wrong with tc than the length of it
This is taken from reddit, and is just an ~idea~. Nothing official, the original contributors aren't even involved yet (and probably won't be). And they have no idea on how content distribution work. Why have a windows installer if you plan something like the boogaloo? Valve could just add them directly as offical maps...
Why externalize the payment with humble bundles when you can just download the maps from gamebanana/TF2maps? If they're made official they can improve the map stamp system, but I don't see a humble bundle with TF2 maps working.
Theses people have no idea on what they're talking about :v:
I really want Medieval Payload. Let's see how chaotic can it get.
The curators suggest a ‘community map crate’, which would be added to the game's drop system and require two regular Mann Co. keys to unlock
Sounds like a crap idea.
wait, I thought all valve has been doing with Team Fortress was having the community decorate their mansion for them?
So a bunch of "idea guys" just though up a way to get already existing maps into the game, without any input from the actual creators, and they are speculating about a way to monetize it.
This is the equivalent of making news out of weapon balance discussion on spuf.

True. Even Walker said that he don't want to add "pay to play" system to the map.
"Well, let's revolutionize TF2 with pay-to-play maps! It's genius!"
I don't think they've paid much attention to how things are actually done. If they wanted a pay-to-blank system in TF2 it would have happened when they added the Mann Co. store or Free 2 Play. They know that's a bad way to go.

Agreed. This is only really news-worthy if it was planned or something by TF2Maps.net or something.

They could just do it CS:GO style. Maps are added to game for everyone, to play on Valve servers buy a Map Stamp Badgearoo.

A ton of items are made by guys over in the TF2 section, also many official maps are community made.
yeah i thought the monetization thing was stupid as shit since these are already in rotation in a few servers, and it's not even a challenge to add these to the regular rotation of things. There's no need to add hype.
I think it would be better to release these one at a time over a short period so the maps will have their own spotlight and a surge of players to one particular map instead of having people fanned out all over the place
adding the "pro" versions is also kind of stupid since they're essentially the same maps.
