Just leave it out in the rain
Lick it off
Don't.
Washing machine always works
remember to use a full cup of bleach, an ounce of mouth wash, sea salt, and a cup of ammonia (it creates a chemical compound used for professionally cleaning computer parts)
On a serious note. if you don't have a microfiber cloth around, use a coffee filter. I've been building PCs for years, and in my tool box I have isopropyl alcohol and a whole thing of coffee filters :v:
getting tiny fibres on it make a negligible difference, eg dust, or a fibre from a cotton swab. under the ihs if you get shit stuck is where it goes bad.
I've found a nice hot iron heats up the old paste so you can just gently scrub it with 400 grit sandpaper and it comes right off.
why clean when you can just put more on the top
Rubbing alcohol, a coffee filter or lint-free cloth, and some elbow grease.
remember to use a full cup of bleach, an ounce of mouth wash, sea salt, and a cup of ammonia (it creates a chemical compound used for professionally cleaning computer parts)
I thought suggesting the bogus crystals recipe was banned here even as a joke.
why clean when you can just put more on the top
The thing to remember is that each ml of paste acts like a multiplier for the GHz of your CPU. Also, the manufacturers don't really like people doing it because they end up losing money, but there are cases where spreading thermal paste on the RAM can have the effect of increasing the magnetism along the DDR contacts, effectively doubling or tripling the GB of RAM available to the OS.
Just flip the CPU and use the other side
I thought suggesting the bogus crystals recipe was banned here even as a joke.
"whoa I put that in my washing machine with my CPU and it started exploding!!!" if someone actually put it in a washing machine after seeing blatant sarcastic posts that'd be a real life idiot cull
