MP is fun as hell. The racing gamemode is crazy where you've sometimes got fast cars driving down large hills in snowy areas and one bump into another car can send you and the other flying off the track in a spectacular explosion that's visually appealing to both the driver and everyone else that's still on the track. The open nature of the game makes it perfect for racing because there's no invisible walls anywhere.
Then you can free roam around with friendos. Me and my friend took a jet and just kept doing rocker launcher strikes on the mile high club. Shit was fun.
The only major problem right now is the framerate issues and the lag/hit detection issues, which are supposed to be improved in the next test.
Buy this game right now.
I can't wait for the MP to release publicly and have servers available. I don't have much fun with the beta weekends, there's too many people. I used to run a pretty popular SAMP server and I can't wait to make the perfect freeroam gamemode for my server.
I'd love to get this game but I'm still a windows XP peasant and they told us to fuck off. :c

I think the main problem is that it rewards you for killing others and turns the entire thing into a "kill or be killed" thing. I think it would benefit from having sort of teams, like you type a command into chat to mark that you aren't hostile, and you can't be damaged by other players, but you can't damage other players either.
Once we get the server software i'm sure people will set up RP servers or peacetime servers or something.
