Honestly, I can't wait to try this out, haven't been able to play a Metal Gear game since MGS3 considering I never owned a PS3.
Honestly, I can't wait to try this out, haven't been able to play a Metal Gear game since MGS3 considering I never owned a PS3.
As long as you expect more of a DMC/Ninja Gaiden/Vanquish style game than the traditional MGS you should be happy.
they didn't say it will be locked at 60fps though, they are just implying it's well optimized while also looking better than it did on consoles
That may be impressive by console standards but that the game is being locked at 60fps, when many gaming PCs can happily run games like Battlefield 3 at more than 100fps, shows a not entirely up to date regard for the PC.
They do know that the actual visual difference between 60 and 100 is non existent, right
They do know that the actual visual difference between 60 and 100 is non existent, right
I run a 120hz monitor, its a *lot* smoother running at 100+ compared to 60
They do know that the actual visual difference between 60 and 100 is non existent, right
um that only depends on your refresh rate. it's only not going to display a difference other than tears if it's over your refresh rate.
Tried the demo of this game on my PS3. Pretty awesome. But now that it's coming to PC I'm going for that version. I get a better game in the end and I can still use my Dualshock controller (thanks to Better DS3).
I hope "added goodies" means all the DLC.
It better have crazy modes like DMC4 did. I want Legendary Dark Knight mode
Where does it say that it's LOCKED to 60fps? 60FPS is the standard for PC monitors, of course they mention that framerate. So I wouldn't bet on it. Yeah the difference is pretty large.
the only Metal Gear game I don't want.
My Wacom and I are eager to test compatibility with that slicing mechanic.
Hopefully this will mean that MGS 5 will also come to PC at some point
I'd imagine this will be super easy for everyone to run. It runs beautifully smooth on the PS3.
the slicing is done with a controller or a psmove not a tablet
Where does it say the PC version will not have keyboard and mouse support?
Oh also, if this turns out to be a good port, buy this game immediately. It's fucking awesome.
i wonder how moddable the platinum engine is
It better have crazy modes like DMC4 did. I want Legendary Dark Knight mode
If it had a mode like bloody palace, then it would replace DMC4 on my hack n' slash list. Hopefully it comes with all the DLC aswell, and maybe released on Steam?... One of the Platinum devs was at Valve not-so-long ago so... Oh, and I hope it has good compatibility with my shitty Speedlink x360style gamepad. DMC4 has good compatibility so, I expect this to also have.
where does it say that it'll support wacom tablets?
Wacom tablets emulate a mouse though, hence you being able to play any game with them.
Wacom tablets emulate a mouse though, hence you being able to play any game with them.
Just don't attempt to play a game like Stalker with one, you'll end up flailing x10 as much with Bloodsuckers around.
the only Metal Gear game I don't want.
You want Metal Gear Acid on PC?
You want Metal Gear Acid on PC?
I do. Never got to play AC!D. [editline]9th June 2013[/editline]
Hopefully this will mean that MGS 5 will also come to PC at some point
Unfortunately they're completely different engines so this doesn't mean much other than setting a precedent but I guess this is a good sign. All the demos of Ground Zeroes/Phantom Pain have been running on PC hardware too so there's that.
