I have been looking at builds like

and

Both Amd 6300 + 7950 combos. I was wondering if at this price range a good Intel build is possible, or to stick with Amd parts.
Also won't be needing the OS, M+KB, and Screen.
What is the purpose of this build? If it's for gaming then you generally want to stick to Intel, but that's not an "end all, be all" rule. Generally speaking Intel will give you better FPS for the dollar, because most games are single-threaded or have very few threads (Intel's processors favor this while AMDs favor multi-threading). Some people think that this will shift, but no one can really predict the future. The Intel replacement for the 6300 is the i3-3220 which will give you better performance in the average game; however, I think you can do much better than that for $750. Here's my recommendation: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1qgsG or for a bit less http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1qgs1 (swapped the 760 for a 7870 both Gigabyte windforce). These are both under 750, but they also don't include a case which you will have to add.
Thanks, the 760 build looks interesting and I can give my friend one of my spare cases to put it in.

Check this out, you can't beat this;

So if you are not doing strictly gaming and you do also like video editing, heavy multi tasking, maybe even streaming then this build will great for you.
Overclock FX 8320 to 4Ghz and you are golden also I managed to fit a 7970 >:-)

If this person was doing those things, then this should have been mentioned in the post, and the build should be oriented for such (this is why I specifically labeled the purpose as for gaming). This is not the case, so "you can't beat this" is inaccurate, as the average game will give you a better framerate on the 3350P.
flayne, it is not inaccurate since I since I mentioned; multi tasking, streaming and video editing.
He can not overclock i5 3350p, he can get better performance in games that use 4 or less cores but the upgrade path will be more expensive nor he can overclock to prolong the use of his CPU.
As times passes and game use more cores, FX 8350 will serve him well.
I remember when I was only playing games and then I suddenly decided that I want to do videos and I was seriously hampered by my CPU. The difference in games won't be earth shattering, but at least he will have more power to do multiple things at once, eg he could play Battlefield 3 at the same time and compress what he recorded in fraps and continue playing.
FX 8320 at 4ghz is perfectly in between an i5 and i7 Ivy Bridge.
