I'm wanting to do duel monitors but notice this. Is this the bottom one gonna be an issue?
Just make sure to get the right adapters. Its gonna be pain but they're out there
The bottom is digital only and the top can be used with a VGA monitor with an adapter. Unless you have two VGA monitors you're fine, and even if you do you could get a display port to VGA adapter.
My 6950 has this also, kinda threw me off guard lol. I've been using HDMI instead.
I have a 680 and I encountered the same problem. You just need to get a proper adapter really. In the slim chance that your graphics card has a Mini-HDMI input, do NOT buy an adapter to fit that slot. At first that was what I did, I simply bought a HDMI to Mini-HDMI adapter and thought that would be fine, but because the Mini-HDMI is so tiny it also breaks easily. I bought three different adapters which all broke within the week I bought them. Here's a screenshot of one of the adapters I bought, they all followed the same design though. [T]http://www.tablets.dk/Resources/Files/product-images/hdmi-kabel/adapter_hdmi_minihdmi.jpg[/T] This shit will break. Edit 1: For future reference please wrap large images in T tags, i.e: [ T ] img [ /T ] without the spacing.
If they broke might be better to get an miniHDMI to HDMI like 1foot cable and then run your normal line.
The Mini-HDMI adapter I got with my 570 works perfectly, hasn't ever slipped up. And I move my PC a lot.

Thank you everyone.
The first one is a Dual-Link DVI which means it can be used with 120hz. The second one is Single-link so it can only go 60hz, because it can't output enough so you would just have lines at the screen sometimes breaking the image if you tried anything higher.

But yeah, I know.
Meh, what I was referring to was 1080p =P Not expecting people to run at low resolutions anymore. But yeah, I know.
I used 1024*1280 up until last year.
I used 1024*1280 up until last year.
My second monitor is that resolution too. But you might wanna swap those values unless you have a oddly shaped monitor.

I got an image at 108hz, but my monitor's firmware said nope after exactly 60 seconds due to presumably some sort of protection
It can run - but it won't run as it should.
I'm running 85hz 1080p with made up timings day to day quite happily, as well as 120hz 1600x900 cvt-rb (which might be in spec, not sure) My monitor has crazy active circuitry though, it will even accept 1440p and beyond for downscaling
