I accidentally broke my fathers Mp3 player so I'm going to give him my Ipod touch second gen. I originally got the touch because I saw a bunch of videos about running emulators on it, psx ran at fractions of fps per second, and the thing even struggled with game boy advanced games. My fault for impulse buying. I either want a player that can run emulators and fun little games and such, or i'll just buy a basic mp3 player, no whistles. Preferably I want little games though, I've looked at the zune hd a little, it looks kinda promising, but a bit expensive. Anyone know if there is much of a mod community for it? I looked a bit and all I found was a gba emu so far.. So if anyone knows more about the zune, or any other neat players they like, I'd appreciate if you could drop your few cents.
I'd just get one of the newer iPod Touches. Run better than the 2nd Gen (dunno by how much) but I'm sure it could have a better chance at running emulators. My 4th gen (or 3rd gen, forgot which) can run a PS1 emu and play it at relativity playable frames. So the newest one should work fine. Plus it's got a neat camera.
Definitely get ipod touch 4g. Mines been jailbroken for a whole year so far, and still works like a charm
Like suggested.. I've been looking at the 4g ipods, and from a few reviews it seems the battery life is really bad.. since you own one what to you think about it?
Get a zune. [sp]Don't ever fucking get a zune, get the newest thing from Apple or something like that[/sp]
acoustic guitar
I am interested in all the emulator junk, and I'm heavily leaning tword that ipod touch 4. But that battery thing worries me. Anyone own one and could tell me how it is? Edit: It seems the "5g" Itouch is rumored to be coming soon, also rumored to have a 3g connection, if I get that one, I'd need some sort of dataplan for that 3g stuff correct?
