Having more ways to progress certanly would be good. More so if you're a free player that don't shit certs every hour.
Development has only "slowed to a crawl" because they put pretty much EVERYONE on optimization duty. They announced this themselves. [editline]3rd December 2013[/editline] And they're nowhere near to being financially fucked, do remember that EQN:L is rolling out rather soon and the cash from that is already piling up since they started selling founders packs, and they have the backing of Sony if that doesn't work out as well either. And that's not even mentioning all the cash PS2 is raking in.
all they've done recently (excluding OMFG) is statistical balance changes - which they are very good at fucking up I might add.
Maybe the reason for that is because they haven't been working on anything except for OMFG. Just a hunch.
Free to Play: Doing it right
At a certain point people will run out of things to unlock; we’re not trying to run a non-stop gear treadmill game.”
Is that certain point when the game closes down? Everything costs so many damn certs.
Is that certain point when the game closes down? Everything costs so many damn certs.
I'm an Auraxium subscriber (currently level 78), and I'm reaching the point where all I'm unlocking is just minor upgrades to my vehicles since I've pretty much unlocked every weapon I want. It's pretty bad for non-subscribers, though.
