How do I preview .wmv.001 files?

I've only found programs that can play avi.001
What about wmv.001 files?

My internets kinda slow and the video has 10 parts and they all have the .### at the end.
I just wanna download and watch the first one.

VLC will open it, WMP should open it.

Because it's a .wmv file with .001 bolted onto the end of the file name to show that its the first of the series...
