The Gimp Unresponsive

For the past week or so, I've been trying to use The Gimp but it's being unresponsive. Until 2 months ago, it worked perfect but now it doesn't work at all. When I click to open it, it brings up the starter but it never actually loads. The box stays pure white, and after about 3 to 5 minutes, it gives me a run time error followed by another error saying something about, "Unusual shut down" or something of the sort. Someone please help.

You should walk your gimp daily to prevent unusual shutdown errors.

Get the latest stable version/reinstall.

I had the latest but even it won't work. I've uninstalled and reinstalled like a thousand times.

Wow this is weird i have had problem with GIMP to and i tried reinstalling, it just acts funny like when you use shift to make a straight line is spazes around everywhere

i installed gimp a while back and it still works. maybe a glitch or just gotta reinstall

Try reinstalling the Visual C++ Runtimes. I just had a runtime error resulting from that.
