Did steam get more buggy recently for anyone else?

It's been frustrating me alot lately, you may have seen my garrysmod thread but to me it seems everything done by valve is starting to turn shit :-(.

Problems
-Freezes up my whole computer when I start it, firefox and winamp freeze if I try to use them.
-Likes to randomly stop responding every now and then.
-Downgraded from previous versions in software quality in an update I didn't ask for.

Not bad at all,
Intel Core 2 Quad - 2.83GHz(stock, not overclocked)
XFX Ati Radeon HD 5770 - 1gb
4gb Corsair DDR2 ram
Windows 7 64-bit Professional.

My system has 54 processes running at this moment.

What are yours?

Same with me. Im guessing its a problem with everyone? It stopped lagging 6 hours back. But when it was lagging. It was BAD.

Try a virus scan. Something could be causing it to lag

Uhm, I'm not getting the problem consistently on my laptop nor desktop, beyond a non-responsiveness which only happens for 10 seconds and is rare anyways.

My specs are far worse than yours on my laptop, but I can tell you it still does it on my i7 from time to time as well as my laptop. It's not just you.

Well then i got nothing to say then. Maybe the new UI is causing it. I have to say the other UI was much more stable then the new one.
