• Help setting up a wireless router

I just got an Airplus XtremeG router for free from a friend in a box that was some Linksys router. So obviously the setup tool didn't work right, seeing as it was for a different router. I've looked online and found some tutorials on how to set them up by typing http://(some numbers here, 192.something.somethingelse.somethingelseelse) or something like that. I tried it when the router was connected, and it didn't work, instead returning an error page. If anyone could help me, that would be great.
Look for a small reset button somewhere on the router, probably on the bottom or back. Press that button, then wait a few seconds. When plugged into the router, on your computer try typing 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.0.50 in a browser. It should take you to the configuration page.
Make sure that your computer's IP is on the same IP range as the router. Example: Router is 192.168.1.1, you make the PC somewhere in the range of 192.168.1.2 - 192.168.1.225.
What do you mean? My IP is something like 67.othernumbers. Is this what you mean, or do you mean the local thing?
He means the local thing.
