I need to know cuz I'm thinking about switching from win to lin.

There's cedega and crossover games, if you feel like paying for compatibility.
You can use wine but the performance isn't particularly good, it depends on the game.
If you are going to game, keep a partition for windows. Just give it enough room for your games. I have a 30gb windows partition, and I really only use it for source games. Having a windows partition is better than fighting with wine to get a game barely running tbh
