Ugh, I hate making a thread for this, but the stupid search is still disabled.
Anyway, what is the best software for "converting 'x' to dvd's", which happens to be the program that I currently use (with Lanczos filter).
Is it considered the best or are there better? Preferably free..
I personally like CD Burner XP which also comes in a portable version.
I have no idea how it compares to other solutions but it has served me well.
IMGBurn for files
If you want to convert video files for playback in a DVD Player, DVD Flick is free and does an extremely good job. It even has a little game of tetris you can play while the DVD encodes and burns.
^seconded
only problem with that one is that it's not supported anymore, right?
and they've come out with more recent releases of FFmpeg, so it would be a little obsolete

As well, I'm looking for speed.
I'll be using my laptop which has an i5-450m and an ati 5850m.
i would prefer if it can handle all cores w/ hyperthreading and ATI's equivalent of CUDA
