I've had Dxtory for a while, and I've tried getting a good setup going. (Dxtory + Proper Codec + good video editing program).
I found this [url=http://x264vfw.sourceforge.net/]x264vfw[/url] codec, which works surprisingly well for me - no FPS spikes, and when playing in Windows Media Player it works fine.
However, when I try to edit the footage in Sony Vegas Pro 11, it won't accept it. It comes up with an unkown codec error.
I've tried to research it, and I think I need a compressor/decompressor for the codec (?) - I'm not too sure. Shouldn't that already be in the codec?
I tried to install some K-Lite Codec Pack, that should've conained several codecs so I could finally edit it - could that've replaced some files?
I'm quite stumbed here - any help appreciated!
