uh yes, that's why it's $1500. People might buy it anyway but who cares? The price is high to discourage exactly that.

I imagine you have to sign a legal contract so nobody immediately flogs them on ebay
It will sell out almost immediately and a bunch will pop up on ebay and Craigslist by the end of the week.

It's starting to show some usefulness each passing day. The cellphones comparison isn't too far off in my opinion.
