Holy run-on sentences! Also, I disagree. I think the art is a bit inconsistent, but the UI looks entirely intuitively navigable.
the inventory looks good aside from the text in it being a bit small
That's not cluttered at all, it's like Fallout 3's inventory but you always see what items you have equipped. Text could be a bit larger though.
I don't like the 1990 pre-rendered look of the interface. Also the textures and unit models look very bland and ugly.

I fuckin' love the interface man.
It looks so cool.
It's cool finally seeing something from Brian, I remember I thought his video on how game producers acted and how they were portrayed.

You thought what?
This interests my interests.
This was made by the makers of Fallout 1, right?

Mostly, yes.
Fallout games were a spiritual sequel to Wasteland when they lost the rights to the IP

welcome to PCgamesN, the epitome of bad grammar.
i've always wanted to know, did any of the authors of these articles learn to speak english at an early age? if not, that'd be explain a lot.
I don't see how that's supposed to be cluttered. Looks pretty simple and easy to navigate to me.

[del]Basically[/del] Interplay made Wasteland in the late 80s for EA, they wanted to make a sequel but EA didn't have faith in the franchise. Interplay then went on to make Fallout as a spiritual succesor to Wasteland. It was so popular Interplay decided to make a sequel under Black Isle, Fallout 2 had many of the original developers but not all of them. The most notable loss was Brian Fargo who went on to do other shit, Chris Avalone made his name in Fallout 2 by writing the Fallout Bible.
After Interplay all but died the devs split up, with a lot of the Black Isle forming Obsidian Entertainment and Troika games, with Brian Fargo founding inXile entertainment. Now Fargo and inXile, with help from ex-Black Isle staff including Chris Avalone, are making Wasteland 2.
Also in 1990 EA published Fountain of Dreams as a sequel to Wasteland, it had none of the original developers and was pretty crap. EA has since dropped claims that the game is connected to Wasteland.
