As much I like to shittalk FP, deep down I do think it's one of the better forums out there. It's more organized than say Reddit, and the moderation keeps the post quality atleast slightly better than most other forums

other than SH its a really decent place though, apart from the occasional shitty ban like "not funny" on a post with shitload of funny ratings or shit like that

The worst part of a permaban from FP is having to go deal with the weak excuses for moderation found on other forums.
Any other forum would've been demolished by the Rust kiddie invasion.

I also read reddit and 4chan. And compared to those, the post quality is much better and the forum is just much better organized.
This place does lack the cesspools like /r/truecel and /r9k/, but that's both a plus and a minus. The worst parts of this forum is like lmao pics which stays in its own thread.

I mean sometimes the depression/social advice thread I think can drift towards that. But the rest of the posters are usually like "woooooooooooooah there what the fuck are you saying?"

It's good for different reasons like I will always fast shit post on Fast Threads or Videos sub-forums (or occasionally General or Gaming) and there are quite a few good posters who are interesting, agreeable and make discussions interesting. And also I would say that from Facepunch I have improved my comments or how I say shit. I get that it's the internet, and even sometimes I can't help but shit-post here and there but 2015-2016 imo is honestly my peak of posting compared to when I first joined. I learnt heaps of shit from everyone here so cheers. And I hope to post heaps more.
If there was one major problem with Facepunch is that I would have liked the option to change my username that everyone can see. I personally don't like it, and 2013 me was probably just trying to look for a name as fast as possible. But I just think it sounds shit. Even if can change my username just once I would happy like if FP allowed you to start with a name and placed a limit (obviously to not confuse other users) on how many times you can change your name I reckon this site would be significantly better. That and also allow for a slightly larger avatar if not by a few pixels.

Mods are pretty nazi, people get banned for making jokes and other harmless crap but forum is still a good source of content and discussion so I stick around.
I love it. It's the only forum I actually pay attention to and I come on here multiple times a day.
