My friend told me about this gem one time when I was going to do a clean install of Windows 7 HP on my comp. I tried it, and this is one fucking useful tool.
Ninite is an online tool where you're basically given a bunch of programs (currently, Ninite only offers free programs and a few trials so you can just enter your serial number and go). You check the programs you want, you click "Get Installer", and it gives you a custom installer that installs everything that you had checked. It tells you your progress on what is installed and what is installing.
The site is at http://ninite.com/ and there are many programs there: from the most common web browsers (such as Firefox, Chrome, and Opera) to messengers (Skype, Live Messenger, Thunderbird) to random stuff (Notepad++, Steam, CCleaner), making this a very nifty tool for those doing reinstalls and clean installs to newer/older OSes.
Also, if you see an essential app that isn't on there but absolutely fucking should be on there, at the bottom of the page you can suggest apps to add to the list.
Congratulations on having the 3rd thread about this.
Rated late. And meh.
How hard is it to download the exe's for your programs? I would prefer to do it like that. A program for programs is just weird.

True, but I imagine if you rebuild your PCs frequently, or for other people, this could be quite useful.
Seems very handy.
Sorry, I thought this was pretty new. :P
How late was I?

have you even seen the number of options this has? go on, go and time how long it takes to find the exes for every single one of these and compare it to checking every option on this page
