Heres a thread based of darth-veger's thread, but instead of movies it's the sad endings in games.
The saddest one I seen is either these 2:
InFamous good ending (skip to 3:25)

Unreal II Ending (kinda long):

Well, what are the saddest endings to a video game you have ever seen?
The ending to Halo 1
The ending to Halo: Reach.
Partly due to the fact that the[sp] Player character, which due to the customisation options, really is an extension of yourself, dies[/sp]
And partly due to the fact [sp]the character dies[/sp] for such a noble reason. No pun intended.
Oh yeah also the RDR ending:

pokemon g/s/c
you kill red and then you have nothing else to do since you can't trade any of your pokemon over to other versions
makes me shed a tear every time

Not really legitimate tears, it was just sad. I don't know if I ever shed a tear playing a game.
Killzone 2
Actually it wasn't the ending, it was the scene where [sp]the commander of the ship shut it down and it crashed[/sp]
Half-life 2: Episode 2
GTA IV's ending.
Infamous 2. It was a really good way to end the series and I hope they dont wake a third. Chances are they will, from the looks of it just to milk out more money.
Portal 2
The MGS games. MGS3 hit me the hardest.
fable 1
Both Bioshocks. Good endings, that is.
Duty Calls

Watch all the other parts too.
STALKER: shadow of Chernobyl: The false endings
STALKER: Call of Pripyat: The good ending.
The ending of Katamari Damacy when I knew there were no more levels for me to roll in.
Final Fantasy 10
star war battlefront 2s ending.... I always wanted the empire to win
Well never shed a tear, but it was pretty sad in Resistance 2 when [sp]Nathan was shot in the head after turning into a Chimera.[/sp]
Also the ending to Infamous was mindblown
Dead Space 2, at least until [sp] Ellie came to rescue Isaac[/sp] up to that point, it was sad.
Didn't shed a tear over it, but it was sad.

Not really the ending but in fable 2 [sp] when you go into that heaven place I don't even know, and see you're sister, and when you leave everything turned to hell[/sp] I really liked the sister.
I recall crying my eyes out after beating Super Metroid (I was about 4 or 5 at the time.) It took me more or less than a year to beat it, and I sort of "grew into" the game. Over time I'd gotten better at it, but there were still challenges lying ahead. There were still more bosses to beat and levels to explore. When I'd finally beat it, after killing Mother Brain for good and escaping through the collapsing caves of LV-426, I'd escaped (Samus, really) on the ship and launched into space. After that ending cutscene I didn't understand what was going on and thought there'd be more levels, I was ready to play for another whole year at this point. That's when my dad told me that I had beaten the game, and that it was over. I cried like a little baby.
Reach got me and RDR made me a little sad.
Max Payne, L.A. Noire, Beyond Good & Evil.
Monkey Island 2 had a great ending, though not tear-worthy.
When my original Sim died of old age in Sims 3.. :(
I've never really cried during a video game but I gotta admit that the ending to L.A. Noire was pretty sad.
Halo Reach
Half Life 2 Episode 2
Both GTA IV Endings
Portal 2
L.A. Noire got me pretty good.
