• My IP is banned, but my account is fine. What?

It's the strangest thing. I log into facepunch fine one day, the next, I clean my PC then try to login to FP from the exact same IP, and I'm IP banned... what? I checked the ban logs on my account and they're fine, I haven't been banned since the screw up, and I've even e-mailed forums@facepunch.com but I have yet to receive a response. Is there anyone that has had this happen to them before or that knows what's going on? I'd really like to login on my own IP rather than use a proxy to post/make threads. :saddowns:
You got a dynamic IP, reset your eouter
One of your alts got banned. Reset router.
I live on a college campus. There is no router I can reset. And I don't have an alt. I have an old account, but it's not banned.
What it means is someone else on your campus has a facepunch account, and got banned. When you get banned it bans both your IP and your account. Ask an admin if they can unban the IP Address.
Right a strongly worded letter to the admins. Oh wait, that would just get you banned.
