So yeah, every time I pick the windows classic theme on my Windows 7, it changes the theme, but if I try to load any other explorer.exe based windows, it just shows a blank window, with a loading circle, and is labeled 'Windows Explorer'. The window doesnt load into anything and I am unable to switch back to aero when this happens. Any tips on how to fix this? I can't find help anywhere already archived on Google.

You have any modifications, because this happens when DirectUI fails to load.
Yeah, I had modified some system32 and explorer files for other skins, but I'm pretty sure I've restored those. Ironically this happened after I installed Longhorn Fusion M2.

So was that you who just sent me the message about Windows Classic then?
There was an update last Tuesday which update system files which R2 doesn't yet support which could be causing the problems.
Ah I see. So should I just wait for a fix?
Bump, but that also explains why my backups aren't working then, they're too outdated.

Yeah apparently there's some code change somewhere causing this. The UI modifications still work. That's the bad thing about full themes. When Windows updates they break.
