Are RSS feeds worth it? And what should I subscribe too?

I subscribe to a few news sources like giant bomb and rock paper shotgun for game news, the steam news feeds to see what the new updates and sales are and the indie games blog to see what smaller devs are up to, a few game blogs so I know when they have released any news or updates, and I also subscribe to webcomics like penny arcade, Fanboys, buttersafe and XKCD. Oh, and also Accursed Farms news feed so I know when any news Freeman's mind videos are uploaded.

Hmm, I feel gaming subscriptions are worthless due to forums like this as well as the fact that it's all rehash, BS, and Kotuku (one of the worst sites for gaming news ever, didn't used to be so bad though).

I fucking hate Kotuku, I'm also starting to hate The Escapist for overusing sensationalist headlines.

I don't mind politics but I hate how so many news networks have to compromise with extreme conservatives who think science should be outlawed.
