after upgrading ubuntu (9.04->9.10), I am greeted with no download options, seeing as my disk apparently has too many bad sectors, windows partition is fine, ran a shitload of defraggers, still ubuntu wont work
Any fix?
9.10 bitches about every hard drive being broken.
Wait for 10.04, 9.10 is surprisingly shitty, even by Ubuntu's standard.
I've used the 10.04 alpha, as is it's fairly unusable, but with some configuration it's really nice.
The funny thing is I had this problem last year, and downgraded to 9.04, I assumed after almost a fucking year this problem would be fixed in 9.10...now I have to downgrade again....great....
