I have been battling with this thing for hours. When I launch either DS or Dirt 2, the graphics are distorted and glitchy.
Like so:

It's not overheating and it's not because of old drivers. The only thing I do know for sure is that when I make a new account (in Windows) both games work without any problems. I tried deleting all relevant data that's in my account folders, nothing.
Specs:
Intel C2D E6750 @ 2.66 Ghz
2x Radeon HD 2600 256 MB, running in Crossfire, but it doesn't work when it's disabled, if you're going to ask.
2 GB RAM
Blah, blah, help me Facepunch.
And no, I won't make a new account and play on it just for these two games. I'm looking for an alternative solution.
See if this happens to other games too
It does not occur in any other of the games I have installed right now - Oblivion, Mount and Blade, Diablo, Roller Coaster Tycoon 2, PES 6, Heroes 3, Sam & Max S2, Crashday, Call Of Duty 4, Saints Row 2, Dawn Of War, Tiger Woods' PGA Tour 2007, GTA San Andreas, Minecraft, Rainbow 6 Vegas 2.
Useless effort right here.
Are you completely sure that's not Perfect Dark on the n64?

But seriously it looks like you need a driver update or directx update.

Lets make it clear what he said.
1. It works on his computer, but only under a different account
2. All other games work.
3. Graphics card is not over heating, nor does it have old drivers because of number one.
I'm going to have to say it has to be something to do with your profile. Have you tried running these games on your account on a different computer?
Edit:
Try running the games under compatibility mode. A custom theme or something on that account might be interfering.
