I'm worried about drivers. AMD's linux drivers are fucking atrocious, especially their legacy ones.
Still probably going to try it though.

Definitely gonna find a PC to try this on that won't lose me any valuable data/time if shit breaks, been a while since I've been this curious/interested in something.

Same here, since switching back and forth between Big Picture on the tv and playing normally is a pain because of how Windows works with multiple displays.

i get the feeling SteamOS will force a change in that. I hope at least anyway, i'm all for more decent OS's

There are companies hoping to sell AMD hardware, they had better get their act together in short order or someone is going to get a raw deal.
ill definitely give steamOS a shot depending how big it is
