I want a violin :(
Now that I think of it, I wouldn't probably have any use or a desire for a violin.
I want a violin :(
They really are quite wonderful instruments, was in an orchestra for 8 years. I don't really see why so many people "can't stand" the sound of Bach or Vivaldi though.

Are they really that special? I mean, to me it's just another old violin.
Oh god I want to play one of these so bad.
Are they really that special? I mean, to me it's just another old violin.
Stradivarius are a big deal my friend
Are they really that special? I mean, to me it's just another old violin.
There's a huge difference in tone and playability between Strads and modern violins. Putting a Stradivarius in the hands of a great player makes it easier for them to express themselves because the instrument is very sensitive. I've never had the chance to play one seeing as they're incredibly rare and valuable, but finer instruments are important.
Can't see shit cap'n.

Tell me your secrets, violin
Are they really that special? I mean, to me it's just another old violin.
To own a Stradivarius instrument would be like owning one of Edison's original light bulbs, or one of Bell's original phones.
I thought it was talking about the Soil Stradivarius from Fallout 3...
I don't really see why so many people "can't stand" the sound of Bach or Vivaldi though.
it's really old.
I love this part:
"I put the violin of the side on a table near the scanner and then after the patient went to surgery I turned round and saw my violin and thought - well it would be interesting to scan that," Dr Sirr told the BBC.
Seriously, that is the greatest reason ever. "I just saw it and thought 'Why the hell not!'"

I remember some comedian was bitching about getting weird looks in school for carrying a fucking cello, it made me laugh since I felt the same way, carrying and instrument 2-3 times bigger.
I want a violin :(
I have three. :v: They're all old and poor quality, though. I'm not that great a violinist, either, so it doesn't make much of a difference anyways.
I have violin, my grandfather's old violin. It is about 85 years old now. It is not like it is incredible sounding or something, but it does have sentimental value to me.
I know Stradivarius is a very rare and expensive violin that's said to have godly sounds. But to be honest today's professional made violin probably sounds as good as a Stradivarius if not better. Several blind tests have been done and I don't think any of them turned out positive for the Stradivarius. Although you can not really blame a 300 year old violin :v:

The difference is that an old Stradivarius is hand crafted and sounds just as good if not better than those made with today's modern technology. We have one sitting in a case in our school. The thing is pure sex. [editline]28th November 2011[/editline]
I have three. :v: They're all old and poor quality, though. Wow, which school do you attend? They cost a fortune. I doubt anyone are allowed to touch it.
