Well I was installing mass effect when kaspersky anti virus popped up and asked me if i want to block a certain part of the program and by instinct I clicked on deny, Now mass effect wont start from steam even if I delete it then RE download it and try again, I tried turning off kasperky but that did not help either.
you should be able to add it to the trusted list.
