• Websites get redirected to Myspace, and randomly stop working. Here's the kicker-

Basically the title, but this has been happening for as long as I can remember. Every once in a while, alot of the websites I go to start acting funky. They start flipping out, like for gyazo it sometimes just doesn't load and I can't do anything, which for alot of people is normal as websites do that from time to time. Youknow they go down and whatnot, but for me there's something else that goes on. Lets take garrysmod.org for example. Here's a screenshot of it Look, As you can see I typed in the html bar "Garrysmod.org" When it loaded it went straight to this myspace page. But here's the kicker, when I click around the myspace page, it's mirrored in the html bar as if it was myspace, just with a different name This has been going on for months, and I have no idea what to do. I've done numerous malware scans and avast nor malware bytes bring up anything. Whats going on guys? [editline]2nd February 2011[/editline] And just like that it goes back to garrysmod.org. Help me guys, I know it'll come back as it always does
Looks like a DNS issue, flush the DNS cache with "ipconfig /flushdns" (in a command prompt, without quotes obviously) when it happens, you should probably also run a virus scan
I know its probably something you have tried already, but check it still does it in a different browser. That sucks man, and I cannot think of anything else other than the DNS
it also wouldn't hurt checking the host file (located at c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/, edit the file called 'hosts' and post conent here) but that is probably not it
Virus scan. SERIOUSLY, why isn't that a knee-jerk after flushing the DNS cache doesn't work.
It doesn't work like that.
It could, through setting up a squid proxy
