Wifi problems, Multiple connections from one network

So, to start off, my Internet provider is a little whiny bitch who gets the money, but gives me 0,9 mb/s instead of the bought 2 mb/s.
But i can deal with that, I'm patient, although there is something that is pissing me off, and i believe it is not the providers fault.
So, since there is no wire to my room, i have to work on Wifi. To its all a big fucking wire salat over here but it still works fine on cable. When i try to connect from my PC though, i have weird problems.
My PC is from 2006, it hasn't a build in wifi device, so i use a TP-LINK wifi stick.
But if i pop it in and connect to my network, lets call it "XX" it won't work, until i disconnect and reconnect, which makes a "XX 2" appear, which doesn't work either, so i repeat and then the "XX 3" appears which finally works. Often though, i've gotta reset about 20 times before that, and it works flawless.
It also worked fine on Windows XP a few months ago, and now, on Windows 7 64 ultimate, it won't.

Thanks compwhizii for moving.
Have you looked on the manufacturer website for possible windows 7 drivers? might be the one windows provided isn't working properly.
