Facepunch, I need you help with a very damaged laptop!

Ok, so here's my attempt to explain my laptop problem. So, I got a toshiba p845-s200 over summer, it's the model with the 3rd gen i5, 750gb Hdd, and 6gb 1600mhz RAM. The laptop screen got water logged earlier this year, so I disassembled the laptop and was able to fix the water damage to the LCD. But, during the process, the plastic inside the lid of the laptop that the hinge connects to broke, rendering the hinge useless. Basically, the plastic mounts that the screws from the hinge screw into shattered. So at this point I thought to myself "I salvaged what I could, so I'll make do with one hinge." - BAD IDEA. Today the other hinge ripped out of the screen. So, FP, my question is, how can I repair it? Is it possible to buy a new lid for my laptop? I was thinking about drilling holes through the aluminum lid, the bolting the hinges back on. My dad just bought me this laptop last summer and I REALLY don't want to tell him it's super fucked up. Any insight is helpful. Thanks in advance.
If I get time I will upload pics, I'm just studying for a huge test I have tomorrow at the moment.

I hate to think the only thing not making this laptop usable is the fact the the hinge mounts inside the screen broke.. There's got to be a fix.
You can maybe buy a cheap and nonfunctioning one of the same model that still has a working screen. I've switched lids on laptops before, but usually you can't buy them.
Yes, and I'm sure if I sent it in to toshiba they'd charge an arm and a leg for the repair.
But I'll look around for one.
have a look on ebay, there's usually parts kicking around. if your panel is okay, it makes your life a lot easier.
Well the LCD screen itself if fine, but on the lid, under the bezel there are some plastic mounts that that hunge screws into. Those plastic mounts shattered, which essentially means that there is no place on the lid for my hinges to screw into.

Oh wait, just looked on ebay, apparently the "Back Cover" (which I refer to as the lid) is the part I need. If I buy A new back cover, then it will have undamaged mounts that the hinges screw in to. Only thing is, there's not one for my model. :(
You could always glue the hinge in place.
I tried this, but then the Bezel won't fit onto the lid at all since the hinges offset them. At this point, since I cant find the appropriate back cover online, I'm thinking of drilling through the aluminum lid and bolting them on. I'm not sure how feasible this is though. I'd need to find someone (I'm a college student) with a power drill and the proper sized drill bit, then I'd need to find the proper screws / bolts from a hardware store. Man I'm stressin so hard over this!

If anyone comes across a Toshiba Satelite p845-s4200 "back cover", or lid replacement part, could you please link me to it. I'm searching all over, but cannot find one. Some guy on ebay had a ton of them, just none for my model. :(
Some parts here on ebay.
You could makeshift a part that holds the lid slightly slanted away from the keyboard part, like a stand? Not sure, just my 2 cents.

If you're lucky, some brands use the same parts of casing for multiple models of laptops.
If someone takes the time to design the hinges, I will print them on my 3D printer and send them to you. If you dremel the old hinges off you might be able to use ABS cement to attach the new hinges.
It looks like he needs a whole new lid, his hinges sound fine.
That would be pretty fucking awesome, 3d printing laptop plastics. removed part of a laptop but still have the hole where it was?
3d print a new one without that part.
